Making sure a travel study is successful is all about managing student’s expectations. One way I do this is by getting them to complete an expression of interest form. See my questions below. I have found that these questions give me great insight into that the student expects from the program and I can discuss with them how the trip will differ or what to expect so that they can make an informed decision.

What scares or worries you the most about the participating in this trip?
What countries have you previously traveled to (or will have traveled to before this travel study departs)?
